Honestly, it was probably just boredom. I looked around the house for stuff I could use. Found some old felt scraps, the kind you get from craft projects. Leftover bits of black and grey felt. Perfect, I thought. Grabbed the kitchen scissors – don't tell the wife – and some old elastic band from a pair of worn-out shorts.
My plan wasn't exactly detailed. I just started cutting. Tried to make a sort of snout shape out of the black felt. Then maybe some simple eye holes. It looked pretty rough right from the start. My cutting skills aren't exactly top-notch.
