Duraforce Dog Toys vs. Other Tough Toys: Which Brand Wins? (Comparison)

Duraforce Dog Toys vs. Other Tough Toys: Which Brand Wins? (Comparison)

Okay, so I've been seeing these "duraforce dog toys" popping up all over my social media, and my dog, Buster, is a serious chewer. Like, we're talking industrial-strength destruction here. So, I figured, why not give these a shot? I'm always on the hunt for something that'll last more than five minutes.

The Shopping Trip

First, I headed to my local pet store. I'd seen them online, but I wanted to see the different types in person. They had a whole display of them! Different shapes, sizes, colors...it was a little overwhelming, honestly.

I picked up a few that looked promising. I went for a ring-shaped one, because Buster loves to play tug-of-war, and a bone-shaped one, just because, well, he's a dog.

Buster's Test

The real test, of course, was giving them to Buster. I tossed the ring first. He went nuts! He grabbed it, shook it, chewed on it, and we played tug for a good half hour. Usually, a toy like this would be in shreds by now, but this thing was holding up!

  • First impression: Pretty darn good.

Next up was the bone. I gave it to him, and he immediately settled down for a good chew session. He gnawed on it, flipped it around, and generally gave it a thorough workout. Again, I was impressed. This thing was tough!

After One Week Using

It's been a week now, and both toys are still intact. I'm used to find my floor full of toy's fragments, I'm actually shocked! There are some definite teeth marks, and a little bit of wear and tear, but they're still in one piece. Buster still loves them, and he chews on them every day.

  • It's not the toy for my dog.
  • Both are still fully intact.
  • Buster still loves them.

My conclusion

So, are Duraforce dog toys worth the hype? For a power chewer like Buster, I'd say absolutely. They're definitely more expensive than your average dog toy, but if they last longer, it's worth it in the long run. I'm tired of buying new toys every week! I'll probably pick up a few more of these, just to have some variety. If your dog is a destroyer of worlds (or at least, destroyer of toys), I'd definitely recommend giving these a try.
